  • A2 is a game and performance occurring in the public space of the city of Guimarães. Two player-spectators inhabit the same space and time, guided by a set of performative instructions in the form of a game. By following the procedures and rules of the game, it is intended that any duo of player-spectators can experience a shared aesthetic experience from which stories, images, and ideas emerge, while also exercising a vocabulary of scenic composition.

    3 GAME DEVICES INSTALLED IN THE GARDENS OF ALAMEDA SÃO DÂMASO INVITE THE PUBLIC TO PARTICIPATE.

    The construction of these devices was made from objects/furniture collected from the neighboring community. When activated by the player-spectators, the 3 game devices together construct a triptych-installation in the public space, composing in real-time, in a random and unpredictable manner, a performative event that interacts with passersby and the everyday life of the city.

    The A2 GAME-PERFORMANCE will be guided by a team of mediators, participants in the Laboratory of Research and Experimentation of Performative Instructions and Scenic Composition, led by the artist Manuela Ferreira.
